Dear Rochester School families and staff,
At its meeting on January 25, 2024, the Board of Trustees of Aspen View Public Schools passed the following motion:
That the Board of Trustees of Aspen View Public Schools continue to operate Rochester School until the end of the 2024-25 school year, due to the critical low enrolment.
CARRIED
Aspen View Public Schools administration will immediately begin work to determine the next steps required to fulfill the direction given by the Board of Trustees. We are committed to keeping school families, staff and other stakeholders fully informed throughout this process. We acknowledge that this is a difficult process for all involved, and we appreciate and value the passionate yet respectful input of all stakeholders.
Through its motion, the Board of Trustees acknowledges that funding is in place to ensure the continued operation of Rochester School, with its current allocation of resources and services, for the entirety of the 2024-25 school year. We encourage Rochester School families to continue their children’s enrolment in Rochester School for 2024-25.
